Welcome
to
the
site
of
Sathya Sai Baba's Vahinis. Here one will find
the socalled Vahinis - the divine 'Streams' which Bhagavân wrote
Himself (fifteen in total) to support His Mission and Task and to help
His devotees to re-found and re-spread the everlasting message of
Sathya (truth), Dharma (religious principles), Prema (love), and
Ânanda (supreme bliss). These writings are Swami's streams of
thought on a range of subjects: meditation, right action, wisdom,
peace, divine love and Hindu scriptures such as the Bhagavad
Gîtâ, the Upanishads and the story of Lord
Râma and Lord Krishna. The Vahinis
originally appeared in the âs'ram's monthly magazine Sanathana
Sarathi.

Sathyanarayana Raju, was
born
on
November
23,
1926
in
a
small
remote
village
called
Puttaparthi in
the
South of India, approx. 160 km north of
Bangalore (state of Andhra Pradesh). His grandfather was S'rî
Ratnakaram Kondama Raju who dedicated a temple to Satyabhama, a
consort of Lord Krishna. His parents were Pedda Venkapa Raju
and Easwaramma. Sathya Sai Baba has now His âs'ram in the
village where He was born, named Prasanthi Nilayam, meaning: Place
of
Supreme
Peace. A second âs'ram is located in Whitefield,
called Brindavan, where Sai Baba regularly stays. Sathya Sai
Baba is the Avatâra of this era. Avatâra means:
descend of the Supreme Lord or Embodiment of God on earth. Sai Baba is
the second of three incarnations of the Sai Avatâra: first Shirdi
Sai
(1835-1918), now Sathya Sai (1926-2011)
and
last Prema Sai (in
Channapatna
region
of Mysore State (now Karnataka)).
Bhagavân Swami left His body on April 24,
2011 at 7.40 a.m. in Puttaparthi in the hospital Śrî Sathya Sai
Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Super Speciality Hospital, close
to His ashram Prsanthi Nilayam. Read an: In Memoriam.
In His teachings Sai Baba
acknowledges all
religions. He emphasizes again and again that divinity means unity.
As a teacher He leads the spiritual development of all who turn to Him
- by now, more than hundred million people, worldwide - and inspires
people inwardly as well as outwardly. He has set up several schools and
universities, where education is given totally for free. Also,
He has built hospitals in several places where everybody receives free
care and medication. One of the most modern hospitals has been
established in Puttaparthi, The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of
Higher Medical Sciences - Prasanthigram. Also here, every treatment
is completely given free of charge.
The name Sathya Sai Baba is significant. Sai means: Godly
Mother, Baba: Honored Father, and Sathya: Truth.
His mission: to bring back truth in all hearts, to regain
righteousness all over the world.
