  • Gandhârî: the faithful wife of King Dhritarâshthra and mother of one hundred sons.
  • Gada: club
  • Gandharvas: Heavenly Angels (RRV2-1); the singers under the demigods. 
  • Ganesa: the demigod in charge of material opulence and freedom from misfortune.
  • Ganga or Ganges: The river considered sacred by Hindus.
  • Garbâdhâna samskâra: purification ritual for procreation; with the vaishnava's: extra rounds of japa (50). First purification rite (samskâra) of ten which determines all life of the Vedic person. It serves to get someone born in the spiritual sphere.
  • Garbhodakasâyî Vishnu: the expansion of the Lord who enters into each universe.
  • Garuda: King of winged creatures. The great eagle who is the eternal carrier of Lord Vishnu.
  • Gauranga: Name of Lord Caitanya, which refers to His 'golden' color ('gaur').
  • Gaurakisora dâsa Bâbâjî: the spiritual master of Srîla Bhaktisiddhânta Sarasvatî Thâkura.
  • Gaurasundara: Another name for Lord Srî Caitanya Mahâprabhu.
  • Gâyatrî: [see also Srîmad Bhâgavatam] Ancient Vedic prayer to awaken the intelligence and lead to enlightenment: "Aum Bhur Bhuva Svaha; Tat Savitur Varenyam; Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi; Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat": The original form of the body, the lifeforce and the supreme abode; that source of life most excellent, that divine luster we meditate - may this light illumine our intellect.   • Ghee: Clarified butter. A standard of the vedic kitchen used often for oblations in the fire.
  • Girisa - Gopîsvara - Shiva: a special incarnation who is in charge of the mode of ignorance and the destruction of the material manifestation.
  • Godavari: River, Râma, Sîtâ and Lakshmâna cross to get to Panchavati (RRV-1)
  • Gokula: 'cowvillage'
  • Gomatha: The cow that gives its milk and the bullock that is the partner in growing its food throughout life (SSS-III)
  • Gopala: Krishna as cowherd lad (BV-38), Gopala is Lokapala, and not a cowherd boy, Go means cow, pala means he who fosters and protects, Loka means the World (BV-39).
  • Gopâla Bhatta Gosvâmî: one of the six Vaisnava spiritual masters who directly followed Lord Srî Caitanya Mahâprabhu and systematically presented His teachings.
  • Gopas, Gopîs: The herdsmen and maids, (BV-10), (BV-36), (BV-37).
  • Gothra: Family, race, lineage (SSS-II)
  • Govinda: (friend of cows) Name of Lord Krishna, which means "He, who bestows joy to the land, cows and the senses" (also Gopala: Krishna as cowherd) (BV-37). He as the blessing of the cows. 
  • Govinda dâsa Thâkura: Author of important Vaisnava songs.
  • Grama Seva Mantap: Home for Village Reconstruction (SSS-III
  • Grihastha: Married status (BV-15)
  • Griva: Head. (BV-10)
  • Gunas: Sathwa, Rajas and Thamas (RRV-Inner meaning), three characteristics determine the human behaviour: sathwic, rajasic, thamasic, types of behaviour, groups of qualities, bundles of attributes, (BV-33), (BV-36).
  • Gunathitha: Above and beyond all obligations and attributes (RRV2-12b)
  • Guru: Teacher, Preceptor (SSS-II)
  • Guru Dakshina: Ceremonial presents made to the preceptor, by the pupil (BV-41).
  • Gurukula: Spiritual teacher's house, where pupils were educated.
  • Guru Poornima: The Full Moon dedicated to the worship of one's spiritual preceptor (SSS-II).
  • Guruvar: Thursday (SSS-III)
